My one hope is that it will be released as a program, rather than just an online service. Is that in the works by chance? I think it would be super useful, in cases where one's internet goes down, if the webhost is taken offline, or anything like that.
I am interested in creating a language for a speculative fiction setting I'm building. I have looked at Vulgarlang to help me do this. Before I spend money on it, I want to hear the perspectives of conlang enthusiasts. If Vulgarlang isn't that great, are there alternative programs I can use?
All it seems to do is rehash the same 8 features and generate a lexicon that basically is "english, but funky looking". While I fully acknowledge the herculean work that it would be to make a functional language generator accounting for the possibilities of natural language (as I have also tried to do this), I can't help but wonder why the creator of Vulgar is so happy not to correct anyone ...
We've implimented a few format changes to make Vulgar a little more intuitive. You may have to modify some of your code to be fully work with 9.4, but noving forward we're hoping to not. Changes: Vulgar is moving away from using the seed number to save the langauge!
