The springs were known to Native Americans, and were a landmark along the Oregon Trail in the middle 19th century. The city is also the location of the Soda Springs Geyser, which was unleashed in 1937 when town fathers were seeking hot water for a hot pool bathing attraction.
Soda Springs City Hall, located at 109 S. Main St. in Soda Springs, Idaho was built in 1902. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1993. [1] It has also been known as Soda Springs City Police Station.
