18 Δεκ 2015 · The first MIMAROPA Festival was held in Calapan City on November 9-15. The Provincial Government of Oriental Mindoro hosted the event. It coincided with the celebration of the 65th founding anniversary of both Occidental and Oriental Mindoro.

MIMAROPA, also known as Region IV-B is a term for the provinces of Mindoro (Occidental and Oriental), Marinduque, Romblon, and Palawan.

The region is known for its arts and crafts, including the watercolor paintings of Raffael Arenillo from Mindoro, the ceramics of Marinduque, the marble crafts of Romblon, and the realist paintings depicting Palawan life by Nil Sencillo.
The Festival of Lights, dubbed “Pandang-Gitab”, is the festival of Calapan, Oriental Mindoro. It is a live street dancing using the original music composed by local artists to portray the rich cultural heritage of Oriental Mindoro.
11 Ιαν 2016 · In celebration of unity and friendship of the provinces, Region 4B, collectively known as Mimaropa, recently held its first-ever provincial festival.
There is a historical parade, re-enactment of the barter trading, and the Indakan sa Sanduguan, a street dancing competition. Considered as the biggest and the most innovative festival in the province, it also features art and historical contests, workshops, and contemporary and ethnic cultural shows.
