I also read that the statistical sample was very small, only 30 people. I have a 248 mm reach (rounded to three significant figures) and play a 660 mm Alvarez-Yairi CY116.

Your hand span is the measurement from the tip of the little finger to the tip of the thumb. Find your hand span measurement in the left column. The recommended scale length is in the middle column. In the right column, 4/4 refers to a full-size guitar. 7/8 refers to the largest child-sized guitar.
7 Οκτ 2010 · My hand size with fingers spread is 8" from the tip of thumb to the tip of little finger. I have been looking at guitars and trying to figure out the best scale length. The guitar I've been playing on for years is a Ramirez 1A, 54mm nut 664mm scale length.
