Relafen DS In Children. Safety and effectiveness of Relafen DS in pediatric patients have not been established.
The dosage may be increased to 1500 mg or 2000 mg per day given either as a single dose or in two divided doses. Since RELAFEN® has an average plasma half-life of 23 hours in healthy young subjects and 30 hours in elderly patients, plasma levels of 6-MNA will approximate steady-state within one week of dosing.
