11 Ιουν 2010 · The 244 was designed as a varmint rifle and was offered with 75g varmint bullets and a 90g deer load. This could be the 244 which has a 1 in 12 twist and won't stabilize longer bullets. The 6mm wasn't offered until 1963.

19 Οκτ 2011 · From the information you peovided and other sources I have this list of calibers for the 700 BDL varmint rifle: .222, .223, 22-250, .243, 6mm Rem, and .308. Am I missing any from this list???
20 Αυγ 2020 · I had a Remington Model 700 BDL Varmint rifle rebarreled with a heavy stainless-steel barrel chambered for the round, and it lived up to its reputation. I tested dozens of loads, mostly with benchrest bullets, and the rifle shot well.
6 Οκτ 2009 · I was drooling over the Rem 700 Varmint Specials back in the late 1960's and could not buy one until the early 1970's. This was my first "real" rifle, a BDL Varmint Special in .308W with the high gloss finished wood stock with ebony caps and white line spacers.
1 Μαΐ 2013 · I picked up a walmart grade ADL in 270 a little bit ago. Out of the box I was able to get about 1.75" @100 yards with ammo it seemed to like (as compared to the rounds that did much worse). I bedded the action and was able to bring that down to .8" with the factory ammunition. If I knew how to shoot, i likely could have shrunk that down a bit more.
