1 Μαΐ 2013 · I have a 700BDL with the flimsy synthetic stock, in 30.06, and if I work at it, I have gotten groups of about .75 at 100. It did a little better at 200, about 1.2" with a lot of care. I do only shoot one shot every 2-3 minutes in cool weather, and even longer between shots in warmer weather.

I was drooling over the Rem 700 Varmint Specials back in the late 1960's and could not buy one until the early 1970's. This was my first "real" rifle, a BDL Varmint Special in .308W with the high gloss finished wood stock with ebony caps and white line spacers.
16 Δεκ 2016 · Remington Model 700 BDL Varmint Special in .25-06 Rem caliber with 24" heavy gloss blued barrel. These are the older Varmint rifles and the .25-06 was the only long action offered in them. This caliber is also one of the hardest calibers to find in this model.
