11 Μαρ 2012 · How To Remove a Broken off Bolt! This method works GREAT!! It's best for bolts 1/4" or larger, and the shorter the better, but it sure will surprise you!!
File down the top of the bolt with a metal file until the surface is perfectly flat. Place a bolt removal bit on this flat surface. Turn the bit until it locks into the bolt. Twist the bit back to the left to turn the bolt and remove it from the metal.

13 Φεβ 2011 · The best advice is to remove the manifold so you can work on your bench. Trying to extract the broken stud wile laying on your back under the car is going to cause no end of heart burn. I recommend removing all 6 studs (assuming you have 2 manifolds) replace them with new studs and plenty of antiseise and brass nuts.
