Contact us on 131 232, or if you’re overseas contact your nearest Australian diplomatic or consular mission. When you tell us your passport has been lost or stolen, we cancel it immediately and we tell border authorities in Australia and overseas.

You can face penalties if you don’t report the loss or theft of your passport as soon as you’re aware it’s missing.
If you are in Australia, you can report a loss or theft by calling the Australian Passport Information Service (APIS) on 131 232. If overseas, you can contact your nearest Australian diplomatic or consular mission.
To see your visa details and conditions you will need information from a travel document such as your passport or ImmiCard. You will also need one of the following: visa evidence number. You will have a TRN if you applied for your visa online.
