828.30 Rabies vaccination of dogs, cats, and ferrets.—. (1) All dogs, cats, and ferrets 4 months of age or older must be vaccinated by a licensed veterinarian against rabies with a vaccine that is licensed by the United States Department of Agriculture for use in those species.
(1)(a) All dogs, cats, and ferrets 4 months of age or older must be vaccinated by a licensed veterinarian or a person authorized under paragraph (b) against rabies with a vaccine that is licensed by the United States Department of Agriculture for use in those species.

4 Ιαν 2017 · Vaccines. There are currently 17 parenteral animal rabies vaccines licensed by the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) for use in dogs, cats, sheep, cattle, horses, and ferrets. Some are approved for dogs or cats for a multi-year immunity period and others for only a one-year period.
Vaccinations. Florida law states that all dogs and cats must have a doctor/patient relationship and a current Rabies Vaccine. FL law describes this relationship as a physical exam by the doctor once a year. Our doctor exam is $39.99, and a Rabies 1-year vaccine is $25.75.
