Educator Testing. Beginning September 1, 2021, Indiana will use Praxis Content and Pedagogy licensure tests. Please use the link below to access registration and study materials for these tests.
Tests not highlighted will have cut scores and will be available for administration September 1, 2021 unless a later date is noted. Basic Skills: Core Academic Skills for Educators (may be required by an EPP for entry into a teacher preparation program; EPPs determine acceptable passing scores).
The Praxis test is currently not required for school nurses, school psychologists, or school social workers in Indiana, who must instead meet other qualifications, such as completing the required state approved programs or holding a professional license.
Testing requirements for teacher licensure in Indiana. The state of Indiana requires that you pass certain tests and report the results if you are applying for a teaching license. You will need to demonstrate proficiency in three areas—basic skills, pedagogy, and at least one content area in the teaching major.
