The aim of this study was to provide updated estimates of asthma prevalence, deaths, and DALYs based on data from the GBD 2019 database, to assess trends from 1990 to 2019, and compared estimates across age and sex groups. The relationship between asthma DALYs and the sociodemographic index (SDI) was analyzed.
