4 Οκτ 2012 · Question: I recently had cataract surgery with ReSTOR IOLs implanted. My distance vision is fine but my near vision for reading isn't so good. Unless the light is very bright, I need to use reading glasses. Will this contrast sensitivity problem improve over time? Answer:
It is, nonetheless, a surgery, so there is a risk of complications. The size, shape, and acrylic material of the ReSTOR® lens are identical to a standard lens implant (monofocal or single vision IOL), so the placement of this lens does not pose an increased risk during the surgical procedure.
What are ReSTOR Lens Problems? In the FDA trial, 94% of patients with the ReSTOR lens implant were happy with their lenses and stated that they would choose the same lens all over again if they where given the chance. This is a very high rate of satisfaction for a medical procedure.
