I see that's quite cheap and can be found only in taverns, not in fancy restaurants. Also, I found a really good one at a tavern called Retsina Tzoulia, but I can't find it at any supermarket. Do you have any idea where can I find it?

Retsina is a style of wine which has been made for at least 2,000 years, almost entirely in Greece. Most examples are white though some rosés are also made. Modern examples, while much more delicate than (our understanding of) their ancestors, still display subtle aromas of resin.

I had it at a very good Greek restaurant with a good wine list. Well, I'll try anything once. Maybe there are better producers. Or maybe it'll taste better sitting on a table by the seaside overlooking the sunny Aegean sea while eating some fresh grilled octopus.
Hi all, I’m wondering if you have ever tried Retsina, the Greek white wine with pine raisin. If so, did you like it? What are your comments on it? It’s a very particular taste in wine and I’m curious to see how foreigners react to it, because I’m thinking of gifting a bottle to a French friend.
