27 Απρ 2023 · The last two Summilux-M 50mm f/1.4 (Pre ASPH. & ASPH.) compared with the NEW 50mm f/1.4 Aspherical Summilux with extended close focusing distance. If I had to choose between the two ASPH versions today, I would definitely go for the new Summilux.
5 Ιουν 2023 · Leica M10 | Leica 50mm 1.4 Asph | f/8.0. The TTArtisan 50mm 1.4 Asph was doing a bit better when it comes to ghosting but also had some issues with ring flares at f/1.4. The Voigtländer VM 50mm 1.5 Nokton II MC also had some (albeit less severe) issues in this category.
The LEICA SUMMILUX-M 50mm f/1.4 ASPH is a remarkable lens, being the world's only aspherical 50/1.4 with floating elements. This SUMMILUX-M ASPH has the best bokeh of any LEICA lens, and it is LEICA's best 50mm f/1.4 ever, however it is still not as sharp as the LEICA SUMMICRON-M 50mm f/2. Nothing beats a SUMMICRON.
This fast 1.4 lens can suck in all available light to brighten up a scene, and if you find yourself shooting in low light often then this lens can do the trick for you. If you want a little wider than 50 Leica also sells the Summilux 35 1.4, but that one goes for $4k these days.
26 Απρ 2023 · The new 50 Summilux Asph is clearly a sibling of the recent 35mm Summilux Asph. It’s a little larger but with the same slightly fatter body with the slightly recessed slide-out lens hood. It is 6mm longer than the existing lens and 5mm thicker, and two grams heavier (337 vs 335).
The Leica 28mm Summilux-M ASPH f/1.4 is a high contrast wide angle lens with the same high performance as the Leica 35mm Summilux-M ASPH f/1.4 FLE (Floating Element), and in some respects it actually outperforms it.
