The Palace of the Grand Master of the Knights of Rhodes, also known as the Kastello (Greek: Καστέλο, from Italian: Castello, "castle"), is a medieval castle in the city of Rhodes, on the island of Rhodes in Greece. It is one of the few examples of Gothic architecture in Greece.
Today the Palace is a museum and its many rooms contain important archaeological findings from ancient and medieval Rhodes. - Statues from the Hellenistic and Roman periods, removed from the ancient music school on Kos, stand in the courtyard.
With its impressive walls, the Palace of the Grand Master, the Hospital and the Knights’ Road, the Upper City is one of the most characteristic urban centers of Gothic architecture in the eastern Mediterranean.
