Is this ring worth essentially spending a ring slot on permanently? I know you can get one each playthrough, and a second from the trade, but it doesn't seem like something to fritter away. So...
I would never waste that other precious ring slot on a little bit of extra HP and stamina - just level VIT and END if you want that. As a sorcerer you don't even need that much stamina because casting spells costs no stamina in DS1.
It's really good during the early game, and even towards the end game it is a nice all-around ring. But I wouldn't say it's indispensable. If you find a ring which fits your playstyle more, don't be afraid to take the FaP ring off! Don't turn it into a clutch, and just let it go when the time comes. 14.
