29 Ιουλ 2024 · The typical dosage range for OCD treatment is generally lower than that used for conditions like schizophrenia or bipolar disorder. For OCD, the starting dose of risperidone is usually between 0.25 mg to 0.5 mg per day, with gradual titration based on individual response and tolerability.
Conclusion: On the basis of naturalistic stud-ies, clinical audit, phase 4 trials, positron emis-sion tomography data, and 5 years of clinical ex-perience, the currently recommended target dose of risperidone is 4mg/day for most patients, with less-rapid titration than previously recommended.

In order to make the suggested cross-taper usable, I’ve rounded the doses (of converted TO drug) to whatever the smallest increment of that particular drug is. Any suggestions to improve this tool are welcome and appreciated.

Stat at 1 mg daily, then increase the dose by 0.5 mg daily every 6 to 7 days to target 2 mg daily. The maximum dose is 16 mg daily, but doses exceeding 4 mg per day are rarely more effective.
