25 Ιαν 2017 · I received 2021.24.1 (labeled 2024.24.1) update this morning, and the Car Wash Mode selection is not mentioned for my car. It is included evidently in some versions of 2021.24.1. I have a June 2020 build Long Range Plus.
When taking Model Y to a car wash, Car Wash Mode closes all windows, locks the charge port, and disables windshield wipers, Sentry Mode, walk-away door locking, and parking sensor chimes. To enable, touch Controls > Service > Car Wash Mode. Your vehicle must be stationary and not actively charging.
I got my Y performance a month ago but am still on the delivery software (2021.11.103) after 1,200 miles. When did your car get its first software push? Looking forward to getting “car wash mode” and the “safety score” recording to be in the running for the ongoing FSD hunger games (may the odds be ever in your favor…)
27 Ιουν 2023 · Car Wash Mode is a convenience feature on Tesla's range of electric vehicles introduced in an over-the-air software update (v2021.24.4). It's a shortcut to bulk enable/disable certain car features when washing or taking it through an automatic car wash with a conveyor belt.
Before V11 I believe there was a button/selection to exit car wash mode, but since the update the car has stayed in car wash mode for 3 days now. I handwashed in my driveway then pulled the car back in my garage to charge, so I haven't gone over 10 mph to push it out of car wash mode.
