The purpose of the Rutgers School of Nursing (SON) Mentorship Program is to facilitate relationship building for personal and professional growth of SON faculty members at all levels. The purpose of this Toolkit is to support and guide mentors/mentees who are participating in the Rutgers SON Mentoring Program.
• Promote quality standards for mentoring programs; and • Expand mentoring programming and opportunities tailored to the needs and circumstances of young people. The Mentoring Program Toolkit is designed to guide and assist schools of nursing in developing and implementing mentorship programs that offer structured support and opportunities that may increase student success and retention.
The Nursing Strategy is a comprehensive, multi-faceted, cross-sectoral strategy which includes initiatives that will help make Ontario an employer of choice for nurses. The Nursing Strategy is supported by the Nursing Secretariat, a branch of the Ontario Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care.
This toolkit was designed to guide NCIN grantees in fulfilling the grant requirements of a mentoring program, and meeting and sustaining the leadership and mentoring requirements of the scholarship grants from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation.
