In Romans 8, Paul describes what walking in the Spirit means & looks like. In vs. 18-27, he says being saved means looking at life from a different, eternal perspective. In v. 28 he makes that lesson most clear when he says -.
In Romans 8, the Apostle Paul relays to his readers the means by which the power of sin is broken; a solution that lies only in the atoning work of Jesus Christ on the cross and the power of the Holy Spirit.
In Romans 8:27, Paul uses the word in relation to the activity of the Father who “carefully searches” the heart of the Christian where the Spirit’s intercession takes place with inexpressible groanings.

Week 8: Romans 8:26-27 . 1) Read Romans 8:1-30 several times, then focus in on 18-27. Recall our discussions of 18-25; you may want to look over the questions we’ve addressed on those verses. Now focus on the transition from verse 25 to 26. Verse 26 begins with a word that means “likewise” or “similarly” or “in the same manner.”
The Holy Spirit is the spring of all desires toward God, which are often more than words can utter. The Spirit who searches the hearts, can perceive the mind and will of the spirit, the renewed mind, and advocates his cause. The Spirit makes intercession to God, and the enemy prevails not.
