Ronald Dale Earle (February 23, 1942 – April 5, 2020) was an American politician and judge who was, from January 1977 to January 2009, the District Attorney for Travis County, Texas.

Ronnie Earle was a Texas legend. During his three decades as the district attorney responsible for Austin and surrounding Travis County, he prosecuted corrupt corporate executives and state officials, including the notorious US congressman Tom DeLay.
When Ronnie Earle was appointed municipal judge by the Austin City Council in 1969, much was made of the fact that at age twenty━six, he was the youngest judge in the state, the youngest ever appointed in Austin. Ronnie was the wunderkind, and that vibe stuck with him for the rest of his professional career.
