24 Ιαν 2010 · I just picked up a new TFO #3 for some of the smaller creeks. I'm looking for a good, but inexpensive reel to match it up with. Right now I'm looking at the Ross Flystart for $68. Does anyone know of a better alternative in this price range? Tight lines.

Take their free flyfishing course to get sweet coupons on gear. But honestly if you want just a basic pole to screw around with occasionally, pretty much anything will work. As the other fellows said, bass pro shops, cabelas, etc, all have a cheap kit that will work just fine.

It also tied the Sage Click and Orvis Battenkill III for the best handle designs. The Ross CO LT’s handle is a great shape and is made of a material that is supposed to be “grippy” even when wet.
