29 Σεπ 2022 · The Open World Program was originally established as a Library of Congress–administered pilot project in 1999 to give emerging Eurasian leaders firsthand exposure to the American system of democracy through visits to local governments and communities in the United States.
The Open World program emphasizes education for the delegates, but there is time for fun too. Delegates from a 2019 program in White Bear Lake, Minnesota, which focused on music therapy, enjoyed a trip to St. Paul and Minneapolis.
