Round Barn Farm is home to the historic and county-landmarked Round Barn completed by John C. Baker in 1898, constructed of wood salvaged from the 1893 Chicago World’s Columbian Exposition. The 20-sided polygonal barn remains one of the largest round barns in Illinois.
Local Vermonters told us to be sure to travel up the highway past the charming wooden covered bridge and on to see the Round Barn Farm. We took photos at the bride, a one-way vintage bride built in early 1800's, and traveled on up to see the barn and grounds. These were well groomed and beautiful.

3 Οκτ 2023 · Guests square dance just outside the barn during a Blue Slope Country Museum barn dance on Sept. 2, 2023 in North Franklin, Conn. The farm and museum has been hosting weekly barn dances for 25 years.

The museum has a lot of old preserved documents (diplomas from the 1910's, etc.) and does a good job of documenting the history of furniture found inside the buildings. There is also a vast indoor museum about Fulton County's history, but I did not go inside due to COVID-19 concerns.
