The armoury is a database of all the equipable items in RuneScape, searchable by slot, class, and tier.
Armour is the term for items that can be equipped to provide defensive bonuses during combat. Most armour sets require a certain Defence level to equip; the higher level an item requires, the greater bonuses it will provide. A player's total Armour stat can be seen in the Loadout screen, under the Hero tab.

Bronze crossbow or bronze 2h crossbow with bronze bolts. Oak shortbow with Iron arrows. Iron regular or 2h crossbow with Iron bolts. Willow shortbow with steel arrows.
Armour describes any item worn to provide Defence. Defence bonuses decrease a player's chance of being hit. Armour comes in many shapes and forms for all classes giving the player a variety of bonuses to choose from. To wear armour of different metal types, certain Defence levels are required.
Tier usually corresponds to the Defence level required to equip armour, and the Attack, Magic, or Ranged level required to wield weapons. Any exceptions or items with additional requirement are noted below.
