31 Ιαν 2013 · Thanks to pal-o-BangShift Dawn Mazi-Hovsepian we were tipped off to one of the most comprehensive and cool vintage drag racing videos we’ve ever seen on the interwebs. This film starts with converted 8mm tapes taken in the early 1960s and travels over steps in time though photos and video footage.
8 Οκτ 2024 · Jim Amos of Bee-On Video has been producing some of the best vintage drag racing videos for as long as we can remember. One of his newest is a feature length piece on Super Stock racing in the 1960s. The 15-minute clip below is a little chunk of awesome as compared to the two-hour full-length piece.
Much of drag racing saw HEMI engine design under the flip-bodies of cars in the years that followed. These engines took very well to superchargers, as did the famed Ford SOHC “cammers”.
