A clue scroll (master) is the highest tier of clue scroll. It can be between 6 and 8 steps long, and rewards a master reward casket upon completion. After completing 100 master clues, the player will be awarded the scroll sack. Players can obtain a master clue scroll from the following methods:
During hard or master clues, players may receive a puzzle box challenge from an NPC. Players must unscramble the image in order to receive the next clue or the reward. During master clues, players are given three cryptic clues in one step.
Certain clues will require items that need a certain skill requirement in order to wear, wield or access. The table below shows the highest skill requirement, in order to complete every master clue. Quest skill requirements are not noted in this table.
On master Treasure Trails, digging in the correct spot will cause either three Ancient Wizards (levels 112, 98, 98) in multi-combat, or a level 140 Brassican Mage, which need to be defeated before the next clue scroll or the treasure casket may be dug up.
Master clue scrolls are the most difficult to complete and can only be obtained as a reward from other clue scrolls or by handing one of each tier clue scroll over to Watson found on Zeah. Clue scrolls are generated primarily by monster drops, but also can be generated through thieving, and as certain activity rewards.
Skill riddle challenges are logical problems that appear in master clues. The clues always begin with " Complete the action to solve the clue " and require players to complete a skill-based action somewhere in the world.
