4 Ιουν 2009 · I'm looking to buy a Sage Flight, 5wt 9ft. in the coming days, and I was wondering if anyone has any opinions on the Sage 1600 and/or 1800 series reels. I have an Orvis Battenkill Large Arbor--the older version--for a 5wt., but it doesn't hold much backing/line.

25 Μαρ 2018 · Just below the new Spectrum Max, and replacing the much loved 4200 series, is the Sage Spectrum LT. Despite a confusing naming convention, this reel has some big shoes to fill. The 4200 was the lightweight workhorse of the Sage reel lineup and has always done well in our shootouts.
I did have an initial complaint about this reel. I found that the heavily knurled and protruding hub knob meant that my hand found this rather than the crank handle. But recently I realized that I can use it to quickly retrieve line by giving it a spin.
The Sage Click is a classic trout fly reel. It features a large arbor design, is made from sturdy aluminum and does without a classic disc drag. Like I’ve explained, it can be used in different trout fishing scenarios and hence offer a good degree of versatility.
