11 Φεβ 2011 · The K140 was introduced in 1974, and is the ancestor of all K240, K270, K141 models etc, and the first AKG headphone with the DKK 32 driver that's still being used in developed form. So the K140 is worth keeping only for that, but it's also great fun listening to.
A two-way system for use on a bookshelf or on stands, the K140 used a 200mm (8-inch) bass driver to provide good bass performance and high output capability but was compact enough to fit neatly into a wide range of listening rooms.
28 Δεκ 2009 · I have the non-vented K140 and considering their age, they sound pretty damn good on certain records. They are a bit power hungry so the Little Dot I+ can't handle them at all, but my Audio-gd C2C delivers all the power they need.
