I got the Salty Dog cocktail (grapefruit vodka) - very refreshing and I'd definitely recommend it. My husband got the Fully Loaded Salty Dog as seen on Man Vs Food (battered hotdog topped with sauerkraut, bacon, grilled onion and mushrooms and 4 cheeses!)

18 Οκτ 2012 · The Old Salty Dog is a classic and I will always return to eat every time I visit the Sarasota area. The service was fairly fast for a Friday evening. This certain location has a good atmosphere being located on Ocean Blvd. The food was delicious and fresh!
The Old Salty Dog was featured on "Man vs Food" in the Sarasota edition of the popular TV show along with Yoder's and Munchies 420 Cafe. I went to the Salty Dog on City Island for their signature dish: a beer battered deep fried hot dog with choice of toppings.
