Kids ages 7-12 years old are invited to register for The Salvation Army’s one-week Summer Camp experience at Camp Rapahannock. For a flat fee of $25.00, children can see and experience the great outdoors. Summer camp will take place from July 3rd through July 8th, 2023.
The traditional residential camp program consists of one-week programs for school-age children and teens from underserved communities from Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia, and DC, and our Corps. Specialty programs focus on the arts, STEAM, competitive team sports, outdoor education, and leadership development.
The Salvation Army’s network of free summer camps allows kids of all ages, despite their family’s income level, to have a safe, fun, unforgettable summer camp experience and enjoy outdoor recreation, educational activities, and hands-on projects.
The Salvation Army operates three Boys & Girls Clubs throughout central Maryland which provide children and youth with educational, spiritual, and recreational programs. Clubs offers children and youth an opportunity to interact with their peers in a structured and supervised environment.
Children will have a week-long, overnight stay while learning about their faith through an enjoyable outdoor camping experience. This ACA-accredited camp offers swimming, hiking, outdoor skills training, crafts, and much more. Friendships and memories from summer camp will last a lifetime.
