OM size guitar caught my eye. I picked it up and got a stool and ran a few chord progressions and the memory of my brother’s ’97 514c cam flooding back. Now, I didn’t know anything about this Greg Bennett guy or this strange company, Samick, that was on the label.

I'd buy another Samick any day, but, I've been leaning towards Yamaha for cheaper Indonesian guitars these days because you can find them dirt cheap used and open box in excellent condition.
3 Δεκ 2012 · When I started playing about 12 years ago a Samick Greg Bennet Fastback II was my first guitar (essentially a peavy wolfgang clone). It had an awesome maple neck, great quilted finish and Semour Duncan pickups. I got the guitar for ~$100 used. I put that guitar through some heavy abuse and it still played like a champ.
