Today’s story is about a boy who listened to God and what he learned. An Israelite woman called Hannah, promised to give her son to God if she could have a baby. She did and called him Samuel. When he was old enough she kept her promise and gave him to the priest Eli to take care of.
Old Testament Devotion Samuel: Called to Listen Samuel was a young boy being raised by a priest named Eli. One night, Samuel heard someone call his name and he thought it was Eli. So, Samuel went and asked Eli what he needed, but Eli had not called him! This happened to Samuel three times that night.
