Permits. A free wilderness permit is required for day hikes and overnight trips. The requirement is only for portions of the wilderness within San Bernardino National Forest, not areas managed by the Bureau of Land Management.

11 Αυγ 2020 · Now with recent overcrowding on trails in the San Bernardino National Forest, the Forest Service is reinstating day use permits for three areas. Starting September 1, visiting the San Gorgonio, San Jacinto and Cucamonga wilderness areas will require a free permit.
