Wilderness permits for the San Gorgonio Wilderness can be requested by completing the San Gorgonio Overnight Wilderness Permit. Cucamonga Wilderness Permit can be requested by completing the Cucamonga Day Hike or Overnight Wilderness Permit.
Free permits are available to enter the Wilderness from several locations (see trailhead list below). To obtain a permit, visit the permit page for the San Gorgonio Wilderness Association, a Forest Service partner. Permits can be requested up to 90 days in advance. Camping.

31 Αυγ 2020 · In the San Gorgonio Wilderness, all trailheads now require a wilderness permit for day hikes, and there is a new limit of 144 day hikers per trailhead, per day. Popular destinations in this area include San Bernardino Peak and San Gorgonio, that tallest mountain in Southern California.
You can also request via fax at (909) 794-1125. The Barton Flats Visitor Center on Hwy 38 and the Fawnskin Ranger Station in Big Bear can also issue these permits. In addition to the wilderness permits a National Forest Adventure Pass is required for each vehicle that is parked at any trailhead. Fees are $5.00 a day or $30.00 for an annual pass.
Permits are required to hike this trail, even as a day hike, and group size is limited to a maximum of 12. Permits are free, and can be obtained from the San Bernardino National Forest Mill Creek Ranger Station in Mentone, 34701 Mill Creek Road or you can fax the permit request form to (909) 794-1125.
