CASA volunteers are community members of all walks of life. After comprehensive training, volunteers are appointed by a judge to advocate for children who experience abuse and neglect. CASA volunteers have made a life-changing difference for Ohio children in need for more than 40 years.
A Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA)/Guardian ad Litem (GAL) volunteer is appointed by a judge to represent the best interests of an abused or neglected child in court.

CASA acts as the representative of the abused, neglected and/or dependent child in the Montgomery County Juvenile Court system and serves as a catalyst to facilitate support services and to achieve a permanent living situation through advocacy on behalf of the child.
