  2. The creation of Zen Hospice Project was an appropriate response initiated in 1986 by Zen practitioner Martha deBarros, and other members of the San Francisco Zen Center. They saw a need to address the suffering they witnessed every day among the homeless population of the city, some of whom were dying on the street.

He has lectured at Harvard Medical School, the Mayo Clinic, leading corporations like Google and Apple Inc. and teaches at major spiritual centers around the globe.

  5. Our mission is to enhance the experience of care for both caregivers and care recipients by teaching mindfulness and compassion as practical tools to improve well-being. Through this unique approach, we inspire each other to live fully in the face of the universal experience of loss.
