To obtain a permit, visit the permit page for the San Gorgonio Wilderness Association, a Forest Service partner. Permits can be requested up to 90 days in advance. Free permits are available for the 24 backcountry campsites within the Wilderness.

Free wilderness permits required for all day use and overnight camping in the San Gorgonio wilderness. They may be requested in person, or online. See our Permits page for details. You may obtain your permit in person at the Mill Creek Ranger Station, Barton Flats Visitor Center (summer only), or the Big Bear Discovery Center.

Overnight trips: Permits are required by the San Gorgonio Wilderness Association for all overnight trips to the area. You acquire permits by filling out a physical request form and emailing, faxing, or physically mailing it to SGWA.
31 Αυγ 2020 · You can get your permit for the San Gorgonio Wilderness by calling the San Gorgonio Wilderness Association/Mill Creek Ranger Station at (909) 382-2882 or reserving via email through the SGWA website. The Cucamonga Wilderness also has a new limit of 144 day hikers per trailhead, per day.
