11 Αυγ 2010 · Mt. San Gorgonio is located in the San Gorgonio Wilderness (58,968 Acres). The Vivian Creek Trail is the shortest and steepest route to the summit of Mt. San Gorgonio. The total length of the hike is approximately 16 miles roundtrip with a 5,600 foot elevation gain.
Watch for the steep slopes of San Gorgonio especially during the winter because you can slip and fall off cliffs of over a 3,000 ft. drop. San Gorgonio is my most favorite mountain peak of all because of the weather and how much snow it gets because I am a really big fan of snow.
