18 Ιουλ 2024 · Latin America and the Caribbean Climate Week 2022 took place from 18 to 22 July in Santo Domingo, hosted by the Government of the Dominican Republic. Latin America and the Caribbean Climate Week 2022 (LACCW 2022) offered an opportunity to advance climate action, taking regional priorities and COP26 outcomes into consideration.
Ecuador faces a variety of climate change risks associated with changes in temperature and precipitation, as well as possible alterations to ocean currents. Given its geographical location and rugged topography, Ecuador is a highly vulnerable country to impacts of climate change (UNFCCC First National Communication, Quito, 2000).

26 Νοε 2015 · In this paper we assess vulnerability to climate change at a local level in Ecuador. We take Ecuador as a case study as socioeconomic data are readily available. To incorporate the spatial and temporal pattern of the climatic variables we use reanalysis datasets and empirical orthogonal functions.
