23 Νοε 2019 · Second your extractors seem worn. The failure to extract problem is common with Savage particularly when firing CCI or federal ammo. Generally if you pop the mag out and run the bolt a second time it'll pull the round out. Maybe it wasn't grabbing because you were not forcefully running the bolt for the purposes of the video.
16 Φεβ 2014 · To remove the extractor, place your index finger on the outside of the bolthead (at the orange arrow) and apply pressure with your thumb pushing from the green arrow towards the orange arrow. Going very slowly you feel a light click as the extractor pops over the detent ball underneath.

8 Ιαν 2021 · One of your extractors has been replaced, and the recess cut in the barrel is buggered up. That probably happened when the old extractor broke, and someone forcefully cycled the action a couple of times. I can see a lot of crud in the same recesses, and most likely under the extractors.
4 Μαΐ 2012 · I did the custom search and read a few threads on some extractor issues people have had with their savages. Unfortunately, I believe I can also fall in under this camp. Lately I have been having some failures to eject on my mark 2.
15 Μαρ 2023 · Hey guys, so about 180 rounds into a new savage mark 2 and the extractor has failed. It’s sliding right off the casing on extraction. Savage is sending me a new one, but has anyone else experienced this?
6 Δεκ 2009 · First thing's first, clean the gunk outta the extractor slots at the face of the chamber. Then, it's off to work on the bolt. There's a black band (C-spring) that wraps 'round the top of the bolt. Just use a little screwdriver to pop it off and then the extractors and the firing plate will come out. You'll notice how gunky it can get in there.
