The sawtooth waveform is great for enhancing harmonics. It has all whole number harmonics , so it gives you a full sound that’s hard to get with other waveforms.

For sawtooth, you might consider a bowed violin/cello, etc.; the bow/rosin catches the string and pulls it a distance, then the string slips and snaps back, pulls...you get a harmonic-rich waveform. Sine is simple harmonic motion—consider whistling (you'll get the breath noise as well, of course).
