13 Μαρ 2024 · Schmeckfest, established in March of 1959 as a one-night event to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the Freeman Junior College Women’s Auxiliary, will take place on the campus of Freeman Academy Friday and Saturday, March 15 and 16.
20 Μαρ 2024 · SCHMECKFEST 2024: HUNDREDS GATHER FOR ‘HOMECOMING’. Schmeckfest, which has become about far more than just the ethic heritage of the community, once again delights guests from near and far.
Visitors will be able to meet up with family and friends, view a variety of demonstrations, visit our local museum, purchase sausage and other ethnic foods, enjoy favorite Schmeckfest foods at our Germans-from-Russia buffet meal, and attend a light-hearted musical performance.
Schmeckfest is a celebration of the rich heritage of the Freeman community. All activities take place on the Freeman Academy campus and include many experiences including great food to purchase, craft demonstrations, fine arts performances, buffet-style meal, historical presentations, and food preparation demonstrations.

18 Μαρ 2021 · Schmeckfest is going on the next two weekends, March 19-20 and March 26-27. Those who order can pick up their items from 1:00 to 6:00 pm. Organizers say to arrive during the pick-up hours with your order confirmation and it will be delivered to your vehicle.
