This page provides an overview of the state standards for Science. The standards are a guide for the development of well-planned instructional practice at the local district level. These standards are mandatory to help shape the design of all components of a science program.
New York State P-12 Science Learning Standards *The performance expectations marked with an asterisk integrate traditional science content with engineering through a Practice or Disciplinary Core Idea.
These documents have been written to assist teachers and supervisors as they prepare curriculum, instruction, and assessment for the various Science components of Standard 4 of the New York State Learning Standards for Mathematics, Science, and Technology.
