I picked up a copy of this old Weight Watchers Cookbook (affiliate link) from 1966 and have really enjoyed taking an inside peek at what the old Weight Watchers plan was like back when it began in the early 1960s.

What Was the Old Weight Watchers Plan Like in the 1960s?
Original Weight Watcher's Plan per Day: 9 oz protein; 3 fruits; 3 fats; 2 breads; 3 veggies (at least); 2 milks. You need to get no more than 30z of cheese a week and 1 of those days you have to eat liver. 8oz of water a day is also recommended.
18 Ιαν 2017 · This is a guide about finding old Weight Watchers menus. The Weight Watchers diet program has been around for decades and undergone a number of changes. Finding information on a specific program you used in the past is possible if a bit of a challenge.
Does anyone still do the old plan? Now it seems there are so many zero point foods that it doesn't make sense to me. I was on weight watchers in the 80's and corn, peas and beans were all "starches" so I have them in my head as sort of a red light food, as well as popcorn. And counting fish, chicken and turkey as zero seems so odd, too.
30 Ιουν 2019 · I was clearing out the attic at the start of lockdown and found a box with all my old WW stuff ... all the books, leaflets, tracking sheets, shopping book, eating out guide, points calculator etc. I started doing the plan and have lost two stone since March.
