19 Μαΐ 2020 · My dedicated GPU (AMD Radeon HD 7730M, dGPU) refuses to work in my Dell Inspiron 15R 7520 SE. On Device Manager is says Code 31 and displays the name as Microsoft Basic Display Adapter. The error message states: This device is not working properly because Windows cannot load the drivers required for this device. (Code 31).

24 Ιαν 2022 · Be sure to use DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller) with the internet/Wifi disconnected and the previous AMD installation folder at C:\AMD is deleted before installing the AMD Driver again. Also run in a elevated Command Prompt or Powershell the following command: SFC /scannow. This will check your Windows OS for corruption or missing files.
Try going into Control Panel-->Programs-->Programs and Features to find your AMD Radeon driver software and attempt to uninstall that first, then do a restart. Perhaps Code 31 will resolve after that. Another possibility after uninstalling the Radeon driver is to shut down your PC, unplug your PSU, and remove the 6700XT from your motherboard.

Windows was able to successfully install device driver software, but the driver software encountered a problem when it tried to run. The problem code is 31.__ (Problem code 0000001F) current the drivers. Do these to clear corruption and repair/replace damaged/missing system files.
Hello, My system freezes up since august update I guess, so I have to restart the system, only to find out that the driver won't load up following by an error "Code 31" on device manger. can anyone figure it out what the cause of this issue.
