Interesting, most whole house fan setups I've seen have been line voltage control. This looks like an A/C thermostat, so you could use almost any dumb thermostat (no wi-fi, no requirement for a "C" wire).

5 Ιουλ 2018 · Emerson's Whole House Fans were all direct drive by the early '80s. If it's an older belt drive fan it's most likely a 2 speed motor, the diagram on the motor should tell that tale. You could still use a variable speed motor control if you wire it to the high speed.
