If you put a Secret Key in your key item it will not work because you did not receive it as a Gift (I tried that a long time ago). Put the PCD file in the Mystery Gift section of the Pokesav section (it should show up as a ribbon instead) and it will work.
30 Ιουν 2024 · The Secret Key (Japanese: ひみつのカギ Secret Key) is an Key Item. It is shaped like Rotom's head, with the outline of its eyes and mouth visible under the coat of Rotom-orange plastic. The key's teeth look like the prongs of an electrical plug.
Use this Action Replay Code and hold L+R while going into a Poké Mart - I found this by googling "secret key AR code" you can find codes for the other events the same way

The Secret Key is a Key Item in the Sinnoh region games which allows the player to access a special room in Galactic Eterna Building which leads him/her to Rotom's Room.
