The Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) Program, formerly known as “Section 8”, provides assistance for very low-income households (single or family), the elderly, and the disabled to afford decent, safe, and sanitary housing in the private market.
This program offers vouchers to eligible elderly, single, near-elderly, handicapped, disabled, and families to find their own unit, enter into a lease directly with the owner, and have GHMA supplement their rent payments to the owner.
